Sona Towers, undoubtedly an ultimate reflection of a chic urban corporate building with thoughtfully designed infrastructure, was established to get India on the global IT road map. It was here that India’s first IT company – Texas Instruments – began its journey in the year 1984. The then honorable Chief Minister, Sri. Ramakrishna Hegde was the chief guest for the inauguration of Texas Instrument in Sona Towers. C. Valliappa and the then IT ambassador along with other dignitaries drove the cultivation of a vibrant IT community by connecting businesses.
The stakeholders from Texas Instruments took a moment to appreciate the state-of-the-art architecture of Sona Towers for being extremely favorable to harbor India’s budding IT industry. The place went on to incubate some of the top multinationals such as Cisco, Oracle, Verifone and many others, which have emerged as IT giants today.
