Fit India Freedom Run at Sona College of Technology, a part of The Sona Group
Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 is a concept of Fit India Mission to commemorate 75th Independence of India. From 13th August 2021 to 2nd October 2021 a nationwide campaign in the concept of “physical or virtual Run” is conducted. This campaign is to encourage and promote fitness among Indians and help them to get freedom from the consequences of inactivity like obesity, laziness, anxiety, stress, and other diseases.
Taking part in the campaign Sona College of Technology, a part of The Sona Group, conducted Fit India Freedom Run campaign for 3 Kms. From the college, 100s of students and teachers participated in the campaign to make emphasis their fitness journey. Two of the students, Kaviya and Sangeetha Sri, who participated in Delhi Republic Day NCC Parade, joined the campaign.
Vice-Chairman, Mr. Thyagu Valliappa and the Principal, Mr. S.R.R. Senthilkumar started the campaign. In his speech, Mr. Thyagu Valliappa encouraged the participants to workout 30 minutes a day. He promoted the goodness of exercising and working out daily.
